Stretch-Rite is a Stretch Therapy clinic based in Newcastle, Australia, run by Sharon Clark. Sharon has been involved with Stretch Therapy for more than 18 years, the last 12 as a Senior Instructor, and currently operates a Stretch Therapy teaching room in Broadmeadow and Edgeworth. In addition, she delivers classes to a number of businesses in Newcastle. Sharon works with a variety of clients from business people and Rugby League players to ballerinas and gymnasts. ABOUT STRETCH THERAPY

Stretch Therapy is a dynamic mode of stretching that can relieve muscular pain, improve posture, improve sporting performance and lead to a more mobile and pain-free existence. Stretching promotes muscular relaxation, decreasing your risk of injury, and increasing range of motion. Unfortunately, few people stretch well enough to receive the benefits. We have stretches for every muscle in the body, even the hands and feet, and many of our exercises address muscles left untouched by other therapy programs. Stretch Therapy is derived from the Posture and Flexibility approach developed at the Australian National University in the early 1990’s. Unlike conventional stretching, poses have been broken down into “functional units of flexibility” which are based around single-joint complexes. Working on these specific muscles can make you more flexible more quickly.
